This is part of my Opera Series which has it's own gallery. Please check it out. Check out the detail with the green magnifying squares. This small display image does not represent the high-quality printing detail as seen magnified. This abstract was rendered full size at 6400x4400 pixels (a total of 28.2-million pixels), enabling it to be printed up to six feet wide (1.83 meters). About Lar Matre
Lar Matre was born in California near the middle of the 20th century. His parents remember that he started drawing just after he started walking, showing his artistic abilities very early on. Upon entering school, he quickly became the class artist, focusing on illustration, but his deep down passion was photography. Life, LOOK, and National Geographic were his favorite picture magazines. Lar bought his first 35mm camera at the age of 14. He then taught himself processing and printing from library books. Many were returned late ... some with a chemical smell.
