Lar Matre was born in California near the middle of the 20th century. His parents remember that he started drawing just after he started walking, showing his artistic abilities very early on. Upon entering school, he quickly became the class artist, focusing on illustration, but his deep down passion was photography. Life, LOOK, and National Geographic were his favorite picture magazines. Lar this one caught my eye.. I love the coloring in these last pieces that you have posted and this one just jumps out to me. The flow of the colors the way the top left looks as though as the light shining down onto soft peddles. It is whispy motion with the sent of peddles. LOVE!
