NOTE: all images with a white border (like this one) are designed exclusively for printing on paper, then matting and framing (my preference for display).
I recommend a white mat with a black frame (model HP4), which is referred to as gallery framing (similar to what is shown above). The mat should be about 4" on a 16" print, or about one-quarter of the print dimension on other sizes. The mat can't really be too large, but it can be too small.
The borderless image is perfect for canvas, acrylic, and metal prints.
About Lar Matre
Lar Matre was born in California near the middle of the 20th century. His parents remember that he started drawing just after he started walking, showing his artistic abilities very early on. Upon entering school, he quickly became the class artist, focusing on illustration, but his deep down passion was photography. Life, LOOK, and National Geographic were his favorite picture magazines.
