650 metal print by Lar Matre. Bring your artwork to life with the stylish lines and added depth of a metal print. Your image gets printed directly onto a sheet of 1/16" thick aluminum. The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. The high gloss of the aluminum sheet complements the rich colors of any image to produce stunning results.

About Lar Matre
Lar Matre was born in California near the middle of the 20th century. His parents remember that he started drawing just after he started walking, showing his artistic abilities very early on. Upon entering school, he quickly became the class artist, focusing on illustration, but his deep down passion was photography. Life, LOOK, and National Geographic were his favorite picture magazines. Lar bought his first 35mm camera at the age of 14. He then taught himself processing and printing from library books. Many were returned late ... some with a chemical smell. I use too many words, but the part that was cut off said, "could easily have been cleaned up to omit that trailing bit at the bottom, but that would have deprived me of the fun of noticing it. It makes the piece interesting.

This one jumped off the page at me. I love it for the colour combination, but more for the stringy quality like a fine knitted garment that's just unravelled a bit at the bottom ... that wispy part is just what was needed to add to its charm! could so easily have been cleaned up and left to look perfect, and then I would not have had the pleasure of its discovery. You clearly know what you are doing.
